Tier 1 Dependent VISA - Urgent ..

Post by muditmalhotra » Thu Dec 30, 2010 12:46 pm

Hi All
This query is regarding Tier 1 G Dependant VISA

I have a tier 1 G visa for last 5 months and i havent been to uk yet.
Now I have got posting there and i want to fly mid january, with that now I want to apply visa for my wife and my new born baby as well.

I have all maintainance fund in my account for more than 10 months so that is not a problem,
but doubt is :

1. Apart from Maintainence funds documents, what all is required to be submitted ? As i have seen people showing there Accomodation details in UK and job details as well.
2. Do I need to send my passport (main applicants) in original ??
3. Also, there is a clause for CARE ARRANGEMENTS for infants, so do i need to have these arrangements before my widfe n my child apply visa ?

Please help me asasp as i need to file visa application soon.

Thanks
Regards

1. You need to show accommodation proof i.e rental agreement and utility bill on your name, NOC from the Landlord that he does not have any objection for your family to stay in the house.
2. Yes you need to send only the xerox of all 36 pages of your passport. Would be good if notarised by a Notary.
3. You need not show Care Arrangements if your will be taking care of your child if not then you need to show Care arrangements also. I am not sure on this.

Hey...

Mine was the same case. My wife mentioned in the covering letter that since my husband has not yet traveled to the UK, I am not providing any accommodation proof. It worked...!!!

Cheers,

1. Not required to show evidence of accommodation and/or job.
2. You do not need to include copies of all the pages of your passport, but only the personal details page(s) and the page on which Tier 1 (General) entry clearance vignette is affixed.
3. Care arrangements need to be shown when an infant / child is not travelling to UK with parent(s) / legal guardian(s).

Regarding 2. I believe the VFS centres in India are now insisting on photocopies of all (including blank) pages of main applicants passport.

Its not mentioned anywhere on the vfs website or the ukvisas website, but my wife was told (when she applied on 19th Nov) that all pages must be photocopied, so she had to run around to get these at the last minute.

I am sure I have seen someone else confirm this too in a recent thread on this forum, but was not able to find it just now.
