Work Permit for a fresh graduate

Post by lilmeiow » Sun May 21, 2006 5:37 pm

Hi,
Recently I got selected for an IT job in London. This job was advertised for a recent passout graduate with an experience of 0-6 months. I got selected for this job as they could not find a fresher with the required skills as I have got 2-3 certifications from Microsoft as required in advt and no one fron UK and EU pool was having the required skills.I am Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and have only 1-2 months of experience. Will my application be successful? The advertised job also required a fresher graduate. Please I am very worried....

It sounds like you meet the criteria, as long as they provide all the right evidence it should be OK.

*edit*
Even if it is rejected you might qualify for a SEGS visa.

as long as the copany is interested they can get it done.

i remember when the rules were real tough, you needed 2 years of experience to get the work visa, and a cambridge based start up actually bent the rules (whilst applying for the work permit), for an applicant.

Thanks Woodie.
Yes they have everything geniun nothing is fabricated in this case. I have graduated from India not from UK. I applied for the job online through monster and got selected. My main concern was about the work experience. But the advertisement also says the it is looking for a fresher. So how are the chances of getting the permit. I have graduated with 74% and is having 2-3 microsoft certifications(Company is also microsoft certified gold partner and are looking for person with expertise in microsoft technologies) which is hard to find with fresh graduates in UK or EU. Look forward to hear from you.

i dont know how the case worker views applications.

i have a strong feeling that the companies clout and reputation also make a difference when the case workers decides.
