entery clearance

Post by raoul1987 » Sat Jan 01, 2011 5:11 am

i entered the uk on a student visa, which says on it entry clearance in 2005 and got its number. since then i renewed my visa as a post study worker in 2010.
now i am filling in applications to switch to tier 2 and under immigration history page 19 it asks for entery clearance. shall i quote the one from 2005?

where did the applicant obtain entery clearance or visa before enetering the uK?
i put the place when i first obtained it in 2005, back home, not when i renewed it last year, in the uk. am i right in that?

then it asks for the reference number on entry clearance, and i used the one on the student visa issued in 2005 from back home.
am i right or do i need to quote the number on my resident permit of PSW visa issued last year?

you only got "entry clearance" once and that was in 2005 so yes you are right.

you changed your immigration category while you were in UK but that doesnt count as entry clearance application....

you are all good.

those limits are relevant to COS issuance... you have already got a COS and need not worry about these unfair limits being imposed.

they WILL let you know, one way or another. sit tight and follow the posts on this forum
