Hi,
I have recently completed a five year course including a postgraduate year in the UK in November. For this, I was given a student visa valid for 4 years to cover my bachelors degree and placement year. During my final year, i decided to extend my degree and do a postgraduate course which meant a year extra. Therefore I had to apply fora Tier4 visa extension, however, I got rejected twice for mistakes I have done on my application as they were constantly changing the rules at the begining of 2010 up until april or so. This meant that I have overstayed for five and a half months before I was granted my next Tier4 Visa. Would this overstayed period affect my PSW application? Would I lose the 20 points because of this? Another thing is that I never registered with the police as a student, as I had no idea it was that important and I was never told anything about it, and ppl on the borders never noticed it whenever I came in and out of the country.
Are these things that could make my application unsuccessful?
Thanks!
Suf
P.S: I will be applying from outside the UK, is it any harder than applying from inside the UK? I've always heard ppl saying to sort out all my visas and stuff while i'm there as its easier and takes less time...?
