14 years ILR too much time outside UK

Post by churchholigan » Thu Jan 13, 2011 5:09 pm

Dear all

I am thinking to apply for the 14 years ILR. I was calculating my time but I think I might had spent like 23 months outside UK. I checked the UKBA website already. It said no more than 18 months allowed in total to be outside UK. Does anyone knows that if I am over 18 months out of the 14 years. Will I get an automatic rejection for my ILR for 14 years long residence?

cheers

You'll be refused if you do not meet the specified requirements.

yes you will be rejected. 14 years legal/illegal stay and you still managed to get in and out of UK for 2 years.....

how did you manage to hop-on-off from UK, sorry if im wrong, my understanding is 14 yrs only for ppl who had illigal stay.

i think you might find it difficult... consult a solicitor for more clear picture.
