Wife dependant documents - subsisting relationship

Post by spfc » Fri Jan 14, 2011 4:28 pm

Hi, I couldn't find anything pointing to a straight answer on this..

I've already received my T1G visa and I'm still in my home country. I'm now applying for my wife's dependant visa. We've been together (married) since 2004 and I'm providing marriage certificate, maintenance funds (letter from bank with 2800 + 1600 for 3 months), her passport and copy of my passport + my visa.

Question is: do I have to provide other evidences showing we are still married and living together? Is it mandatory?
I have a lot of things that prove this which include photos, credit card bills, etc etc etc... but I cannot think why they should ask for this kind of docs..

Has anyone got dependant visa providing only the marriage certificate?

Any comment is appreciated.

Tks

Officer has to be convinced marriage is still subsisting (which marriage certificate alone does not prove). So prudent to submit further proof that your relationship is continuing (e.g. joint account statements).
