Feeling sad!

Post by aaa123 » Fri Jan 14, 2011 6:53 pm

I had a work permit approved in January 2006 and I would have been able to apply for the ILR this month but I have had a residency gap of 5 months (due to changing jobs and rejection of WP application, which was later approved as an out of country application after a 5 months gap). Just to ask, is there a ray of realistic hope to get it now, even if I apply after completing additional 5 months of stay!?

Any comments!

I very much doubt it, as you are not allowed any single absence of more than 3 months.

I agree! In my case, during those 5 months, I did not have any visa status so 3 months condition is also irrelevant!! I have been dragged back by 2.5 years - a period of a life time!!

No, you do not qualify especially after beak in residency and more importantly due to break in visa.
