ILR Due in a week- Not living together for work commitment

Hi All

Pleae advice me ASAP. my ILR is due in a week time. I have been given the initial 2years leave to remain which finishes soon. we both come from two different cities.

My partner had a child from previous marriage and to make sure the child goes to the same school my partner decided not to move with me as im working in different city.

I didnt want to lose my job either so we have been living together only Friday - Sunday when the child goes to see his other parent for last two years.

the ILR requirement is you have to show the proof of living together. PLEASE ADVICE what should we do to explain to Home Office.

A letter from School shoud do? but that doesn't say why didnt we live together.

travel tickets, proof of employment in seperate cities.

i think it can be difficult to convince them that you have been living togather for 2 years at seperate address but have nothing much to show for it. you could have easily opend up joint bank account, utilitiy bills in joint names.

As per OP's earlier posts, he / she already has settled status?

As suggested in the earlier posts, was breakdown in relationship the reason of living separately? (Assuming OP doesn't have settled status) If that is/was the case, it is understandable that OP may struggle to provide documentary evidence to prove cohabitation. But without such evidence(s), FLR / settlement application as spouse of British citizen/settled person will be refused.

Also the wife should bear in mind that she will be giving a false statement if she supports the ILR application if they are in fact separated.

No we are in gebuine relation.... but because of my partner' son's school we couldn't live together. we didnt have own house but just finished buying house and it took one year to complete the sale as there was many clauses attached to the property.

It's in my partner' name and we will be moving togethr in couple of months. as we getting the work done. My appointment is on Friday 28th Jan

but basically that still means that you have no evidence of living togather. Even the house you have bought is in only your partner's name. Then you are saying you are not moving in for 2 months..its not convinicing...but i must say i wouldnt at all be surprised if you still end up getting your ILR....
