I recieved my visa this week under PBS Tier 2 (GENERAL) and my unmarried partner was refused in spite of our being in a relationship for 2.5 years as we haven't lived together longer than 13 months due to work postings. We provided travel records of our flights back and forth (we spent 140 days together in the year apart, prior to the year we have lived together) as well phone records (all that we had on hand) showing our extensive communication during about 6 of the months that we weren't living together.
We would happily get married this week and re-apply as married partners but wanted some advice on if this would be construed as a ruse given the refusal or if the lack of 2 years co-habitation would undermine that as well?
Can anyone recomend any other paths or steps that we could undertake in addition to the marraige to assure UKBA of our sincerity in this matter?
thanks for all who read/answer.
