Tier 1 Extension with No Tax component.

Post by sajan.chandran » Tue Jan 25, 2011 1:27 pm

Hi ,

My friend is goin for Tier 1 Extension next year, she came to UK from India via Intra Company Transfer and in her salary slip there is no component like tax or ni specified the salary statement just contains the amount that got credited to her bank account.
Could you folks forsee any problems that could arise?

Thanks,
Sajan Chandran

There should not be any problem if she has not paid any income tax as long as her income is not eligible for tax. NIC I think is not deducted for the first year so that should also be fine.

If she provides all relevant documents like
- original payslips
- original bank statements
- other docs as required

she won't have any problem.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, but she is paid well above the tax range, i guess the company pays the tax but in her payslip nothing is mentioned. NIC is not needed for the first year???

Thanks in advance,
Sajan

"NIC I think is not deducted for the first year so that should also be fine."

I don't think this is true. Mine was deducted from month 1.

NI is not deducted in first year for Tier 2 ICT.
There should be no problem with no tax deduction as long as she has all the evidences and right points.
