Visa approved/refused vs. time taken to process

May be a stupid question, but can anyone with experience tell when a visa is refused, does it take longer time than usual ... or shorter instead ?

Or does it take same time (i.e., the Visa always gets refused only at the last step) ? What are the steps happen at Visa processing anyway, I would imagine the workflows would be different if it's positive or negative, as stamping the visa itself should take a while.

no there is no hard and fast rule.
As far as process time is concerned, It depends on the type of application, how straightforward ur case is and how long it takes to confirm authenticity of the information provided in the application, country of application and workload within that particular department.
Applications are normally scanned and put in the queue once payment is received. application then goes through several checks e.g if all required documents have been attached, authenticity of the information/documents is confirmed, ur data is screened through homeland security database etc.

i just realised that i havent send one of the forms required for switching from PSW to tier 2 ( i only send one evidence i.e bank statements, when they wanted 2 evidences).
what should i do now? is there a way i can send the other evidence to them? and how can i make sure they will cross reference it to my application?

or does that mean they will automatically reject my application now?

what exactly i need to do, do i need new CoS as i still havent heard back fromn homeoffice regarding my application. dunno what to do
