got Leave to remain when can i apply for a passport?

basically, i recieved today my Leave To Remain letter. it states that i have been recognised as a refugee, hence ive been granted a leave to remain. what id like 2 know is what kind of leave is that? knowing that i had a successful appeal at the AIT and my appeal was allowed on both; asylum n human rights grounds as i am married to a british citizen. my 2nd Q is about the time-limit in which i can apply for a british passport taking into consideration the type of leave ive been granted (which i dont know) and that im married to a british citizen.
