HSMP over Businessvisa

This is Chandrakanth. I have an HSMP Tier 1 visa which is valid from 29/05/2009 till 29/05/2012. I haven't travelled to UK till now on this HSMP visa due to health reasons.

My company is planning to send me on a Business trip to UK on a Business Visa. I want to know whether applying a Business visa will have any effect on my previous HSMP visa.

Also, is it leagal for me to work for my parent company in UK if I travel in my HSMP visa, since my indian salary gets credited in my Indian Bank account? I am not paid anything from the parent company in UK.

I believe you are free to work for any employer in the UK on your HSMP and even multiple employers unless your contract states otherwise. I don't think you need to apply for a separate business visa given that you already have a valid visa to work in the UK

What if my company forces me to go on Business Visa though I have a HSMP visa.
Will my HSMP gets cancelled if I apply for a Business visa?

Sorry I can't comment on that as I do not know the implications..Best option would be to call/ email the home office.
