Is there a surcharge for paying with credit card?

Post by visva_cool » Sat Jan 29, 2011 5:52 pm

Hi all,

Just wonder whether there is any extra charge for paying visa application fee by credit card! I have an in person appointment at a PEO for tier 2 general, so transaction itself shouldn't be a problem - can pay by other cards if something goes wrong.

ukba website doesn't talk about any charge, but I remember that there used to be some charge earlier - not very sure.

Sugeestions from those with recent experince would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Visva.

Thanks for the information guys - that was quick. I am looking forward to using a credit card to get airmiles/points for £800 ;-). I 'll carry my debit cards - in case, if there is a problem. Changing payment details shouldn't be a problem because I am using in person service at Sheffield.

Arsenal49 - just in case if you are not aware, cash is not accepted in PEOs. accepted modes are through: Postal orders/cheques/debit/credit cards.

Call your credit card company and tell them to expect the payment in case they reject it an anti fraud measure. Also make sure you dont have a daily limit on your card.
