switch from work permit to EEA2 : can I change employers ?

Hi ,
I am a work permit holder (sponsored by my current company) and I'm applying for an EEA2 (married to an EEA citizen).

As the processing time for EEA2 is too long, would it be possible for me to :
- switch to another job (another employer) before the EEA2 application is processed (thing that the work permit doesn't allow meto do) ?
- if not, will it be possible to do it using the cerificate of application?

if the new employer asks me to prove that I have the right to work in the UK. What documentation should I show him ?

The Certificate of Application should do the trick as it contains information for employers. Otherwise it may be difficult because the EEA regulations do not clearly state the right to work (see also correspondence table regards Article 24 and 25).
