Form SET(M) - Financial documentation query

Post by MichaelB » Fri Feb 04, 2011 12:35 pm

I am a British citizen residing in the UK and my wife will soon need to apply for ILR. I have some queries regarding financial documentation for the SET(M) form.

The ‘Your Finances’ part of section 10 of the SET(M) form states: “Evidence of your finances. Bank statements, building society savings books, pay slips or other formal documents as evidence of your and your partner’s ability to maintain and accommodate yourselves and any dependants without recourse to public funds (see Note 7).â€

UKBA case workers are instructed not to refuse a spouse ILR due to insufficient finances alone. However, you will both have to submit your bank statements.
