2 applicants but 1 set of originals.....what do I do??

Post by t_kaay » Mon Feb 07, 2011 11:40 pm

I am intending to sponsor 2 family members to visit us over the summer. One is my wifes brother. The other is the daughter of one of my wife's sisters (our niece). I have all the evidence and we meet all the requirements but I am not sure of the best way to submit the paper work. We need to provide original documents in the evidence but this will only be possible in one of the cases. What do we submit for the 2nd applicant? Is it ok to submit photocopies with a note to say that the originals are with the application for xxxx? Is it best to submit each application as 1 individual or should I cross reference and write my covering letters relating to both applicants? Both applications will be made at the same time. Thanks

I was asking exactly that ... and it was suggested you could do what you suggested.

My wife then rang Worldbridge and they pointed out that certified copies would work as good as originals.

So that's what we're doing.

thanks, we will be submitting both with a cover letter from a solicitor anyway, so he will be able to attest all the copies and also make a note informing them where the originals are.
