The application form asks us to enter gross salary in one section but nowhere it asks for hourly rate?

does that mean hourly rate is unimportant for the purpose of COS.

Considering all the jobs in code of practice is given appropriate hourly rate? What if your gross salary is based on 40 hours rather than 37.5 hours? How would UKBA know?
