PLS HELP for residence card holder..

Hi all..Ive residence card since 2008 and expires 2013 Im turkish citizen and my wife is lithunian we r seperated since nearly 2years time now.Havent divorced yet we still keep in touch..I just wondering What Should I do?I came 2007 and since then always workin payin my tax never applied for any help or anything..Im askin cause couple months ago when i came back to the UK the guy asked me lots of questions and kept me in airport nearly 2hours..Thanks for ur help guys..
