Tier 1 General Dependent questions

I got my tier 1 general visa last week. i am grateful to all moderators and members for the support they gave me during the process.....

Now i am applying for my wife#s visa as tier 1 dependent.

I have got a few querier which i request all to advise.

1. Her passport validity is less than 6 months but more than 3 months. should i apply for visa in Pakistan?

2. I have been living in this country for 3 1/2 years but went back last february tp pakistan and came back after 70 days in April 2010. Do i have to show £533 for my wife or £1600 ? Also do i have to show £800 for myself too? what is the equation? is it like £800 + £533 or just £533.

3.do i have to send my Notarised / Attested copies of my passport and BRP? what if i just scan them and ask her to print it out? Also what is the difference between Notrarisation and attestation? i rang a solicitor this morning and he was trying to tell me some difference ( notary is expensive than attestation).
