student visa

Post by student90 » Wed Feb 16, 2011 9:15 pm

my cousin has arrived from pakistan on a student tier 4 visa - sponsrd by a private college in london - he is not satisfuied with the course and alongf with a number of reasons he would like to transfer to another college nearby his extended family where he has accomodation available an a college nearby.

thje problem is he has already payed half the college fees and if doesnt enrol by this weekthe college would inform the ukba and be deported.

my question is until he can find a suitable course and college what are the steps we can take....

would you reccomnd in changing from tier 4 to prospective student if so what step do we take....would you advise us to do thus??
or should inform the ukba voluntairy about his reasons for not continuing to study in the sponsrd college...

what can we do... because the colleges in our area wont be able to take him until september....please advise

please please can someone help

Whatever you are thinking now you should think it before applying and getting visa wih your current sponsor.

Now, you cannot change your college otherwise you need to apply for fresh visa with new college. The current college is your sponsor and if they report you your visa will be cancelled and you required to leave UK ASAP or you may be deported with further entry ban.

Any other option you will try, you have to leave UK as college will inform UKBA and they will cancel your visa on same day straightaway!

It's not possible to apply for a prospective student visa in country.

How does he know that he doesn't like the course if he hasn't even enrolled?

I agree with KKJ he needs to leave the country asap as if he has no intention of studying with his sponsor and cannot find another course until september then he will be in breach of the rules if he doesn't.

When he applies to come back later in the year he should explain what happened.
