GRANTED VISIT VISA BUT APPEAL WAS DISMISSED???

Post by mimozaph » Thu Feb 17, 2011 11:24 pm

HI EVERYONE! I'M NEW IN THIS FORUMS. I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR AN ANSWER TO MY QUESTION IN THE NET AND CAN'T FIND ANY. SO I AM HOPING SOMEONE CAN HELP.
I APPLIED FOR A VISIT VISA JUN 2010, VISIT VISA WAS REFUSED AND I APPEAL DIRECTLY TO UK TRIBUNAL ASYLUM. APPEAL WAS ALLOWED, OCT 2010 I WAS EMAILED A CALL IN LETTER FR ABU DHABI AND VISA WAS STAMP IN MY PASSPORT.
2 DAYS AGO I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM TRIBUNAL DATED 07 JAN 2011 THAT MY APPEAL WAS DISMISSED? I CONTACTED THE UK EMBASSY IN ABU DHABI AND THEY TOO ARE CONFUSED. AND ASKED ME TO VISIT AGAIN WITH MY PASSPORT AND LETTER COMING FROM TRIBUNAL.
SO WHAT IS THIS? IT IS VERY STRESSING AS IVE ALREADY MADE ARRANGEMENT, WORK LEAVE AND NON REFUNDABLE TWO WAY TICKET FOR THE STAY OF LESS THAN 10 DAYS.
HAS ANYONE HEARD OR EXPERIENCE SAME THING?

Perhaps an administrative error? Contact FTTIAC on +44 (0)845 600 0877 to enquire about the sudden and unexpected development.

And, please do not shout.

We did contacted Tribunal First, and they advice to contact Abu Dhabi. It doesn't matter whether the will refuse my visa again, I don't think they have reason to anyway. The reason I was rejected the first time around was becuase I did not provide enough information and proof and when I sent the appeal I did sent everything that I think can help justify my case.
And I did send only one appeal as it was instructed.
I doubt that going thru it and not informing abu dhabi uk embassy will be a much bigger mistake.
My file, visa ref will be linked to any document I sent, was sent for application, appeal etc.
I just want to understand how this could have happened? The clerical error may be the culprit but reading how the appeal procedures, there is a big hole there saying someone made a mistake.
If so, then we can claim for compensation-at least to ease all the stress it caused us.
Thank you for replying
