Spouse Visa to ILR SET(M)

Post by jesswongwong » Fri Feb 18, 2011 2:03 pm

I hold a 27 month spouse visa for 22month
I am going to apply for ILR, however I am not sure my husband(British Citizen) and my financial status is ok or not.
as i remeber when i make the appliation for spouse visa, my husband P60 shows earning around 230gpb a week and we are living with husband's family.

when i come in uk, we bought new house. we just earn 100 pounds per week each, which means total income 800 per month only. But, of coz, that income can cover around 700pounds mortgage payment and monthly utility bills.

Will there be a big problem we earn just can cover the life and both of us just work as part time in the same takeaway

as you said to earn 800 total and 700 on mortgage and 100 on utility bills? so how do you eat? do you get any support from any of your families? if so get signed letters from them saying they will support you.

thx for your reply~
nono.. i mean my mortgage only 400 for a month..utility around 100 on gas ele..internet..
100 on council tax..

so around 200 for monthly spending..
also as we both work in restaurant..so we need not spend much on food actually..but i am not sure the home office would consider in that way..
actually 800 is enough for us..but it's just~

actually we can work more hours .. as the boss want to save tax..so we just work 16hrs..i think we may allowed to work and earn around 140 per week..

it's it more reasonable to support our live~if so .. we try to ask more hours of work

thx for advice

As long as there is no recourse to public funds / benefits by anyone not entitled to them, you should be fine. The amount of savings (high or low) is not a qualifying criteria.
