Work permit/change employer

Post by mikamchik » Fri Jan 21, 2011 1:33 pm

Hi!
I have Work Permit issued before November 2008 valid until 2014.
I would like to change my employer.
I understand that I need apply under Tier2.
Can I do it within UK? Or I will lose my 2 years and will need wait 5 years again until my ILR?
Thank you very much in advance!

Subject to a potential employer issuing you a CoS, you may apply for further leave to remain (from within the UK).

Unless you are on a non-qualifying work permit (e.g. - TWES), stay in the UK As WP migrant may be included in settlement application ... even if you change to Tier 2.

don't leave your current job until you have found a new employer who has got a spare COS ready to be used... COS is very precious commodity these days....
