Intra-company transfers

Post by techno » Wed Feb 23, 2011 4:11 pm

Hi,
I wonder if someone can help me.
I run a small engineering consultancy. Over the years, the business environment has gradually worsened. A few years ago, a client told me to set up an office in Chennai (India) if I wanted to keep working with them. There I employ 6 people and they work for my client's Indian subsidiary in Chennai.
Now, another client tells me to supply them with 2 dozens people from India into the main office here in Britain, at unbeatable prices of course.
I don't know where to turn to for advice as my business runs with minimal resources and I can't afford a specialist lawyer.

Now, I hear that there are intra-company transfers whereby one (or several) of my guys in India could come here for a year for instance. I also heard on the news recently that the coalition has tightened the rules about the required salary before such a thing can be done. I think this is £40,000. If that is correct, then clearly my guys in Chennai don't earn that much.

I am not asking for how to do things illegally here, I am just trying to figure out how to keep my customers happy and stay in business. I guess I am operating at the wrong end of globalisation.

I am a little bit desperate and I am wondering if anyone knows the visa system well enough to offer some options.

How could I bring in 20-24 engineers from Chennai to the UK. What kind of visa would I need to apply for them ? What do I need to show the authorities here in the way of evidence ?, etc....
Thanks

You will get a lot of information from the link below:

I think reading through this, would give you an idea of which options you can look to pursue... Good luck!!
