It will not directly help you that your parents are already in the U.S. Because you are over 21, your application to enter will depend almost all on you and the merit of your work or school.
Indirectly, if your parents have a good record of living in the U.S., that may help show you are ''safe'' as far as the U.S. government is concerned. You will be evaluated for who you are and information about your parents will only be one part of that evaluation.
If your parents have some serious trouble, that can make it more difficult for you.
Another item to be careful about: if you try to enter for reasons such as school, training, business trip or tourism (for examples), your application should be perfect and show that you will not try to stay illegally. The fact that you have family in the U.S. is often a signal that someone is trying to bypass immigration laws. Even if you are honest, the information in your application will need to ''prove'' you are honest.
Your path for best opportunity is probably the H-1B visa if you can find a job offer and sponsorship for it. Or, if you can qualify for post-doctorate work that is usually another ''safe'' bet. All countries right now give more favorable consideration to people who are very educated and with specialty skills that are needed.
Luck!
