Can i work as a model?

Hello,

There isn't much information about this in UKBA or UKCISA websites. A couple of agencies have asked me to meet them next week despite mentioning my student status and i'm not sure whether the tier 4 regulations allows or restricts it.

I'm an international student in the UK and my course ends by 15th of April and student visa expires by the mid of August. My query is that can i work as a fashion model ie doing stuff like photo shoots and adds, during my term time and the next four months??If not what kind of visa is required to be a model in the UK??

Will you be paid for this work as an employee? Or will you need to register as self-employed and then invoice the individuals / companies that offer you these assignments? If the latter, then you cannot do so.

If you are to be paid as an employee and you do not fill a full-time permanent vacancy, I don't see any problems in undertaking modelling assignments as long as you do not breach the conditions of your stay as Tier 4 (student) migrant. See Can you work while you are a Tier 4 (General) student?
