Stamping of ILR when dependant not in UK

Please can someone guid me on this. I have tried to search on internet and this site but not found the answer yet.

I am on pre Nov-2006 HSMP/Tier-1 general visa and eliglible for ILR in July. I have a child under age of 2 who is right now not UK. my child has a valid tier-1 dependant visa till july same as me. Due to child care issue my child has recently gone to my parents and going to stay there for few months. can someone explain if i am allowed to get my child passport and send it to homeoffice along with mine & my wife passport even though my child is not in the UK. once we get ILR stamped i will send the passport to back so my child can travel here.

will there be any problem to my application or when my child tries to reenter in UK?

can a dependant apply with main applicant even if they are not in UK? is it allowed.

If child was born in the UK, then see also british citizenship for children without ILR.
