Been waiting over 6 months for Child Tax Credits

I've called and called but to no avail. Spoken to the manager also. They put me 'twice' on the so-called fast-track and re-verified my information to be sure. I just keep on getting the same old reply; that my application has been forwarded to a special department because they need to run more id checks. What can I do to get my claim moving? Would the CAB be any use in this case? Thanks so much.

[ walefare right but if you need an urgent same week reply and updates go to your local MPS office theres some1 there that will have upper connection to find out whats going on with your claim
