ILR 5 years Requirement Criteria - Help Needed

Post by ice221 » Thu Mar 03, 2011 4:59 pm

Hi,
Can someone help me with the below case.

I have got my first workpermit visa on 11Aug2006 and entered into UK on 15Aug2006.
I have converted to Tier1 General on 10Jul2008 and my current Tier1 visa expiring on 08Jul2011

So starting from 11Aug2006 till 08Jul2011 I am completing 33 days short of 5years. As per ILR rules one can apply 28days prior to the 5years completion date...but I am short of 5days even for that rule.

Is there anyway I can apply for ILR or do I need to go for Tier1 extension for just these 33days and then go for ILR? I will be spending double the money.

Thanks in Advance for your help,
Lokesh

Your ILR counter started from 15-Aug-06, and not 11-Aug-06.

See also possible solution.
