Naturalization (British Citizenship)

Post by T1_Mainframe » Thu Mar 03, 2011 6:21 pm

Hi,

I am currently in UK on Tier1 and would like to know eligiblity for citizenship.

Based on current rule, I understand one can apply for ILR after 5 years of continuous stay. However, when one is eligible to apply for BC from ILR approval? is it 3 years (5+3=8 years).

It would be great if you could provide UKBA link for same.

Many thanks,

Many thank for reading and replying.

I had read this link before posting the query.

It states you need spend 5 years. Does this mean one can apply next day from the day ILR is received?

Read the link again for all the points that are needed to be satisfied. One needs one year free from immigration restrictions. That means one year after receiving ILR.
