Sorry if this has been asked many times but i am bit confused after reading many posts here.

Many times i have seen different replies to a question where some one has asked about using an Indian engineering graduate working and living in UK as professional referee. Many people didnt think this is good option. Do any one have bad experience of application failed because of this reason?

I have called home office two days ago and asked if i could use an Indian engineering graduate working and living in UK as professional referee then the lady on the other side of the phone was very positive and said that would be perefectly ok to use.

If so then why many people on this forum say to avoid this?

Thanks for any replies with their experience.
