HSMP Eligibility Tricky Question

Post by pmpindia » Sat Jun 17, 2006 11:23 am

Hi,I am planning to apply for HSMP on my own but planning to work in UK thru my employer in India. (I know my employer will get me the work permit, but I wanted this way because of some reason). I have checked with my employer whether they allow me to work in UK in case I get HSMP visa and they have Okeyed it as well.

So if I work in UK thru my Indian Employer for 5 years can I apply for Naturalisation ?<BR>
Whats the chances of Home office rejecting the same as there is already a huge hue and cry about outsourcing.

My view on this is that - As I am working in UK for a UK customer and serving UK , my salary getting paid by my Indian Employer should not be the key criteria . What is the general comments ? Please reply

It shouldn't be a problem if you'll be working in the UK because your company has an office here. And yes, you can get permanent residency after 5 years on HSMP regardless who your employer is as long as you reside and work in the UK.
