I received my ILR on 22nd March 2010. 4 Yrs HSMP (March 22nd 2006-22nd March 2010).
My wife came to the UK on 18th September 2008 as my dependant
We had our first child on 13th Feb 2010.

I applied for ILR all 3 of us on 22nd March 2010 and was successful. Now 22nd March 2011 approaches and I was going to apply for Neutralization for all 3 of us on 22nd March 2011 through NCS.
I was informed by the lady on the phone that my wife is not eligible to apply for citizenship till she has spent 5 years in UK since she is married to non-British citizenship.
Is that correct?

Your spouse may apply for naturalisation through either of the following routes:
Route 1 - Complete 5 years in the UK and upon fulfilling standard requirements apply for naturalisation.
Route 2 - After you are granted British citizenship (naturalisation certificate), your spouse may then apply for naturalisation as spouse of British citizen as and when requirements for spouse /civil partners are met.

For the UK-born-child, you may make an application for registration as British citizen, under section 1(3) of BNA 1981 - now or later (e.g. - along with your naturalisation application).

Thanks a lot sushdmehta,
So it means i can apply along with my Child for the British Citizenship but not my wife.
And looking at the link she will fullfill all the residential requirements and along with other requirements on 18th September 2011.

Best Regards.

In that case, if on that date you are a British citizen, she may then apply for naturalisation as spouse of British citizen.
