Hiiii... i want 2 get your advise regarding my maintenance funds. i got my masters results on 10 march and i have passed it and now i am eligible for applying for psw but the problem is that my funds are only 70 days old and requirement is for 90 days as you know . if i wait for 90 days than date falls 8 april and govt has purposed the law for closing the psw on 6 april as decision is pending...so please help me that what should i do in this case. can i open a joint account with my friend who have 800£ in his account in month of december or may i apply with my account after one week so that if they refused it on the basis of fund i can do a appeal against the decision and at that time my funds will also bacome 90 days old and my application will be considered under the old rules again incase if psw abolished after april. please help me i shall be very thankful 2 you..

but, YOU have been mis informed.. govt has done NOTHING about future of psw... yet.

so, believe what you want... worst-case yes, psw might be closed beyond april but to come out and say govt has proposed blah blah is categorically wrong

But the thing is that i have completed my degree and i can apply for psw only problem which is coming is my funds which is not 90 days old as i don't want to wait upto the month of the april so please advise me the way to sort out this problem , may i apply with current statement of 70 days if they will refuse than i can appeal at that time my funds will be 90 days old and my case will be considered under the old rules of the psw.. please give me your valuable advise.....

There's not much u can do... and u seem to be in panic, calm down... most likely, nothing will change in april. They are still consulting... can't be doen so soon.


Also, u will need 90 days... it clearly says so... I wouldn't play these games, then appeal etc. Just wait and hope.

Home Office is very strict about funds, so they have to be for 90days or else you face rejection and most likely your appeal would be refused as well..

Just calm down, nothing will change on 6th April 11, govt hasnt announced anything, they aint changing from 6th April if they were then the annoucments would have been out by now its already 14th March.

Did you see the meeting on 4th March, the Minister says he does not have a fixed date yet! :p errrrrr lol

Relax, you would do fine if you apply on 6th April, I have an appointment booked on 15th April for PSW. lol.

I am eligible to apply on 23rd March since ill complete 90days
