Tier 2 visa overstay

Hi,

My Tier 2 visa (ICT) expires on March 23, 2010. I applied for extension of my visa on Feb 21 and have also received biometric enrolment invite. However, due to change in my work circumstances, I have to leave the country by end of March. I have called home office helpline today and asked for return of my documents. However, I have the following queries:

a. Do I get any time to overstay in the UK (for 7 days after expiery of my current Tier 2 visa) to close on my house rental lease etc?
b. Since I applied for extension of my visa with the intent to continue to stay here, and am now recalling my application- does the overstay of 7 days impact my future application for getting work visa to UK?

I am doing all the arrangements to leave country by end of March given that home office people told me that it can take upto 15 days to get back the documents.

Please advise.

you will prolly be given 2 weeks to finish your business in UK... but im not totally sure

After my overstay of 7 days, I reapplied for Tier 2 ICT from India and got approved stamping for 2 years......
