Mobile Phone Bill - driver Licence as Address Proof

Post by neeraj1395 » Thu Mar 17, 2011 10:11 am

Hi,

I am currently working in UK on Tier 2 Visa. I want my wife to join me in May End here.

I am currently residing in a rented accommodation and I got a private agreement done with my landlord and all my bills are inclusive in the rent only.
Now as address proof for Dependant visa application form my wife, can I provide my Mobile Phone Bill or my UK PROVISIONAL Drivers Licence. I have a private(not through an agent or government one) rental agreement signed by my Landlord.

Please suggest, this is very Urgent.

Regards,
Neeraj.

There is no requirement for "address proof".

What may be required, though, is evidence of accommodation. Neither mobile phone bill or Provisional driving licence are evidence(s) of accommodation.

Thanks a lot for replying.

I got a letter from the Visa authorities that mentions of address proof(Utility bills). Also they have asked for a tenancy agreement. The agreement that I have got with me is a private one(own drafted - which my landlord and myself have signed) and has all the rental things mentioned(monthly rent / all bills inclusive etc.).

I think I can provide that. But as far as utility bils are concerned, Can I give Mobile Bills?

And where does it ask for "address proof"? Point 6 refers to "evidence of accommodation" - as I had indicated in my first response in the topic.
