Spouse Visa

This is regarding my sister who married her husband from Pakistan in Oct 2010; she is a British citizen of Pakistani parents.

Anyways before the application and docs are sent off, a little query, the vaf4a asks about prior contact now as it was an arranged marriage contact only happened the week she arrived in Pakistan and that was only to go yep we agree to get married, then they were married at the end of the week, I know, but that’s the way it was done.

Is that ok for the ECO I assume there ok with it because when I was married about 6 years ago I only met my wife on the day, yes arranged as well, and the forms then never asked about prior contact then and the visa went through ok.

Just a bit worried on her behalf, also she owns her own home that she lets out to a couple who receive housing benefit so indirectly she receives rent that way, does that count as receiving public funds or am I being daft, it is late so I might be not thinking straight

A couple of points. Firstly of course the application form needs to be completed accurately, and if they only met just before the marriage, well so be it.

That is not her receiving Public Funds, and even if it was, she is British and accordingly it would not be a problem anyway.
