hi guys,

quick question, i got my indefinite leave to remain in June 1993, i am now in the process of filling out an application AN1 form for British naturalization and was wondering if there are any laws which would grant me naturalization any other way with me having to go this route since i have been here for such a long time.

i know there is a 14 year rule for those applying for an ILR, maybe something like that exists for naturalization?

is the application likely to be excepted on the basis that i have been here for a while ?

i have already read that information and am aware of it, my question was regarding the fact that i have held my ILR for over 18 years and whether this would either help me get my naturalization quicker or if there was a special rule that applies to those who have had their ILR for over a certain number of years.

reza888, there is no such special rule.

But as regards "help me get my naturalization quicker", it is not a long process, indeed it is now a lot quicker than it was a few years ago.

But it is now much more expensive! Suggest you apply soon, in order to avoid the further fee increase as from 6th April.
