PSW appeal. statement of additional grounds. help please!

Post by mirrorage » Thu Mar 24, 2011 10:32 am

i have recently been refused a PSW on the grounds that my maintenence funds fell below £800(by £40)for 2 consecutive days. Following these 2 days, my funds then returned to above £800 and have been ever since.

i am appealing this decision myself and am currently preparing my submission.i would really appreciate any advice or pointers on what grounds/reasons i can use for having this decision reviewed.

many thanks

It will be very hard to appeal if your balance has indeed fallen below £800. Do you have funds in another account during the same time?

I would suggest reapplying then unless someone here can give you some ingenious way of appealing.

when you appeal, you are sort of saying to judge that, UKBA acted against its well-published policies when they refused your app.

How can you convince any judge that UKBA is at fault of refusing you application when you are the one who hasnt fulfilled the criteria set by UKBA!

parents account doesnt matter as you MUST have your name on your statement. If you dont have any other account, then it is futile to go for appeal.

thanks for the input everyone...was hoping i could argue that the decsiion was an unreasonable one as the money dipped below £800 very slightly, for only 2 days....sounds like im going to need a lot of luck with this one!
