Tier 1 (General) Extension Query

Hi All,

My Friend is on a Tier 1 (General) Visa. He is due for his Extension in a few months. My query is, he has been deputed by his UK Employer to India and he has been earning his Income in India during the past 12 months in Indian Currency. Can he use this earnings to claim points for his previous earnings for Extension of his Tier 1 (General) Visa.
