Can I apply for Tier 1 (PSW)

Hello Friends.

I have one question about my recently position. I have tier 4 visa now till 1 October 2011. But I have passed my degree today mean today I got result 25th March 2011. my institute give me letter which mention my study finish 31 march 2011 but I have not receive any transcript from university or degree. its mean my enrolment will finish 31 march 2011 from my institute . I can apply PSW visa now but I want use my remaining visa which valid till 1st oct 2011.
 Is it possible I can use my student visa or not. And also if use my student visa then I can do full time work or not?

If your visa is valid 4 months or more after your course finishes, you have to leave by then... usually it is given at around 4 months or so after said course end date.

You can work till then, full time, provided course is officially over, but not take a permanent position.

U can use your visa, but not longer than 4 months or so after end date of course.

U can apply for psw from UK as long as u hold tier 4, or outside within one year of end date of degree award.

my course end date is 30 jun 2011 but i finish my degree early mean 6 month before i finish . in this position i can use 6 month or not.thanks

its likely that UKBA will be notified that you have completed your degree and that you are NOT enrolled in your course any more.

UKBA guidance suggests that they might curtail your visa to 2 months from 31st march as there will be more than 6 months remaining from 31st March.

In any case... play it safe, and apply in first week of may. thats what i would do

If more than 6months remain on your visa after your Award date, then UKBA maybe notified and would contact you to reduce your length of stay.

So do not think of using all the time. Apply well within time.

If you have 6months or less then you can use up. I had once finished my studies in September and got my degree in Nov and used my visa uptil until April next yr. As it was less than 6months after my award date, it was fine.

You are mistaken, please check UKBA guidance, it tells you if you finish your course before your expected date and you have less than 6months on your visa you can continue to stay until the end of your leave.
