You can apply for both now if you wish. The choice is yours knapps.

1) Form EU3 is what you need to apply for Permanent Residency http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Form%20E ... %20EU3.pdf

2) If you will also like to apply for Irish citizenship, then you may also complete form 8

http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Form%208 ... 02009).pdf

Naturalization is a separate process and does not affect your PR processing in any way. For example some people may chose not to naturalize as Irish citizens for varying reasons for example if their country of origin does not allow dual citizenship. So becoming an Irish citizen is your choice, you are however eligible to apply for both at this time. Also note that there are separate conditions for processing of both applications, so if you do chose to apply for both you may want to familiarize yourself with these conditions.

My best wishes.

thank you very much guys.

I will go for irish nationality as my country allows to keep dual citizenship.

How about my current eufam 4 stamp which is expiring in 2012 may or june.

will they allow me to continue to work and have a valid eufam 4 stamp while my form 8 in process

Of course you can continue on your current residency while you wait the outcome of your PR and citizenship.

Good luck mate.
