So just as I got a chance to apply, a horde of cheapskates decides to apply en masse to save 50 quid ...
This is just my typical "luck" ...![]()
Now I'm trying to steer away a vision of year-long wait as it was with my HSMP application.
So you applied in February, but your application hasn't been allocated yet?Gul wrote:

Yes, exactly – how do those savers know about the increase if they don’t follow the news? Or rather how did they “just found outâ€ukpl wrote:And although it is not a recent news, where do you actually see the new fees on UKBA site?
If you go over there http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/britishcitizenship/
there is NOTHING about new fees. So for many people new fees may quite be a news.
There are no new laws proposed for naturalisation. But after the recent new laws proposed for visas and ILR, people obvious may expect that new laws for naturalisation is also under way. Human life is all about speculating different possibilities. Only constant thing in life is changes in life. We never know when the minister will propose new laws for the naturalisation.wunder wrote:What new laws? I don't remember any changes to citizenship law?ferrarilondon wrote:its not only just the fees Kamilian10 its new laws coming into force etc that started this sudden increase in application numbers recently.

I can understand your anxiety i also applied for naturalization in 1/03/11 through postal and got the decision on 18/03/11.
By reading other posts i noticed many people are waiting for the decision. I wish you all the best and hope you receive your decision this week.
Wow, that was superfast!!! I wish I have ur kind of luck. I submitted mine on the 25th of march and I'm prepared to wait for 6 months anyways. Though, I will be mad if I got any letter other than approval letter.london2009uk wrote:FerrariLondon
