Urgent advice needed. 2yrs nearly up.

Can anyone please tell me if, when it comes to the time to pay the money for ILR at the end of your 2yr stay in UK, is there anyway the time limit can be extended for payment?
We are at our wits end. My husband is a nurse who has literally been told as of today he is no longer employed!!! This was totally unexpected. Financially we are up a creek without a paddle as 9mths ago i became unable to work due to illness which left us just his earnings. He has until May 28th to pay the money, but i am worried sick we wont get it together before this date.
Does anyone know if they will extend the time limit for extenuating circumstances?

If you are not satified with the length of time it takes for people to give you the benefit of their expertise and experience for free then perhaps you should seek and pay for professional advice? Or else do some searching of your own to find your answers?

do not be so rude here. This is a public forum where people get free advise from volunteers.

If you think its a waste of time posting here then have you tried to contact UKBA to find answer?

You need to show some patience. Members give their free time to answer posts and can't be expected to be available around the clock.

However...I understand you're stressed at the moment. You could apply for an extension on form FLR(M). The postal application for this is less than the fee for ILR.

I dont think the home office will extend on the payment as they may set precedents, and they always say make sure the fees are paid on the day of the application or the application will be sent back.

however as mention on the earlier post from the moderator try to ring them to explain the situation or do a postal application which is slightly cheaper than the one at the PEO.

also you can pay by credit card, which gives you some breathing space.

Good luck
