When applying for a marriage visa; if the sponsor is on bennefits, is it possible to use her fammily members for proof of accommodation and their bank statements as proof of financial support if you will be staying with them until can afford own place and has a job. My friends wife who is the sponsor and already in uk is on bennefits but her familly has offered to help with accomodantion and proof of financial support.

Whilst 3rd partty support and accommodation is presently allowed from close family members, the ECO will make the decison to grant or refuse the visa based on the long term prospect that the couples being able to support themselves without any further family or state help.
