Travelling with children when parent is not same nationality

Post by Barry64 » Mon Apr 11, 2011 8:52 am

Hi, does anyone have a similar experience and can offer words of advice.

My wife is a Ukraine national and our son is 13 months old and is a British Citizen and has his own British Passport. We are all travelling to Ukraine this summer but I will be returning after 2 weeks. My wife and child will remain for a further 2 weeks. Does anyone know if there would be any problem with her travelling with hime back to the UK given they are different nationalities. As long as we take his full birth certificate showing that she is his mother I would of thought this would be sufficient. Would any further documentation be necessary eith for the British or Ukrainian authorties?

Regards

No problem when the child is travelling with a parent. Different nationalities do not matter.
