Can I pay through Visa Debit Card?

Post by sarosh » Fri Apr 15, 2011 5:00 pm

On Tier 1 PSW form, Visa and MasterCard are mentioned as Credit Cards and Delta and Maestro ONLY as Debit Cards that can be used for fee payment. Just wondering if I can pay the visa fee by mentioning my Visa DEBIT card number on the application form?

Has anyone payed before using VISA DEBIT card? Do I need to inform my bank about this transaction in advance?

Yes you can pay via VISA DEBIT card, and choose the VISA card option. I had paid visa Visa debit once and it was fine. If you have previously conducted large amount of money transactions like 800-900 or whatever the your visa fees is then no problem.

If your bank does regularly stop your large payments, inform them before you submit that there will be a transaction of this much anytime after you have posted, or the date before you go to PEO if applying in person.
