visas for family members of an EU citizens BY POST!

Post by Directive/2004/38/EC » Wed Apr 20, 2011 9:08 pm

France now allows postal applications for family member of an EU citizen.

http://www.ambafrance-uk.org/Postal-app ... 18770.html
Postal applications

From Tuesday the 22nd of March 2011 onwards and until the issuance of biometric visas, four categories of applicants are allowed to apply by post for a short stay Schengen visa without having to go personally to the TLScontact visas centre.

A/- Who may apply ?

1/- People who are living in the following counties:
....

2/- Spouse and children under 21 years of age of French or European nationals

Remember that such applications should be 100% free. Zero fees from either the embassy or the TLS people. I have not checked that they are doing this correctly.

Do you know which countries allow postal applications?

Spain or Poland for example?
