Tier 1 Visas - Multiple visit

Post by gvsatishkumar » Tue Apr 19, 2011 2:48 am

Hi,

I have a Tier 1 visa from UK with validity till Mar 2013. However, I am right now in the US and plan to move to UK in the next 3-4 months. I just joined a course and will be traveling to UK every week for 2 days. I have 3 queries:

1. Is there a limit on number of times I can travel to UK on a Tier 1 visa?
2. Can I travel to UK for study purposes on a Tier 1 visa?
3. What is normally asked at the Point of entry and what is the safest response?

Thanks in advance.

If you will be travelling that frequently, sign up for IRIS registration which would allow you to enter UK through automated barrier and no landing card required no questions nothing.

You can do this while you leave the UK at the airport just after you cross your passport check with the UKBA Officers. Find out more about it online type IRIS Registration UK

There is no limit on the number of times you can travel but the Immigration Officer might have questions as to why you are making so many trips every month etc.

and mentioning studies/training (even if you call before my plan of moving 3months down the line) may prove suicidal.
